Jonathon Barbato
Jonathon is a founding partner of Apricot Corporation and has over 20 years of experience in television distribution, cable programming and the monetization of entertainment through Internet and mobile sites. He has been a key player in bringing thousands of hours of entertainment to television, the Internet, VOD, wireless and other digital platforms.
Before starting Apricot Corporation in 2005, Jonathon was a founding partner in Ripe Digital Entertainment. Ripe has launched three multiplatform networks: RipeTV, OctaneTV and Flow.tv. Each network is distributed to over 25 million cable homes, on the Internet and in mobile.
He has held executive positions at Lorimar/Warner International TV; Genesis (now FOX); Sony International TV; and Head of Marketing at MGM TV Distribution before becoming head of marketing for STARZ movie channel and eventually Starz On Demand.
Jonathon has been a guest speaker on many industry panels, including Digital Hollywood, CTAM, PROMAX, BDA, Television Critics Assoc. and more. He is also the recipient of over 25 awards in the cable, broadcast and advertising strategy and design.
